Old Media Scrambles to Bury New Candidate

June 6, 2007
San Francisco, CA USA
Staff Writer: J. Lilly

Following Tuesday night's televised Republican debate on cable giant CNN, the networks web site was lit up with support for pro-Constitution candidate Dr. Ron Paul, congressman from Texas.

The post-debate blog comments from individuals around the country were overwhelmingly in favor of Paul's positions and answers.

By midnight, the CNN web page was deactivated and temporarily forwarded to the results page from the Democratic debate over the weekend. It is unclear whether the page was deactivated for internal political reasons at the media powerhouse or a technical deficiency in their web operations. [Screen capture prior to deactivation] Inquiries to the network were unanswered.

Many informed observers believe CNN's web "glitch" may be politically motivated. As many states adopt electronic voting in their electoral process, the same observers believe electronic voting is secure. "If it's secure enough to vote for President, it should certainly be secure enough for a simple web survey." according to one participant.

Paul's high showing in the CNN poll was matched on rival network MSNBC's web site as well. Despite accusations of "spamming" by opposition party members, and even by fellow Republicans, no technical data has been presented to substantiate the accusations. From all accounts, the support of Paul appears to be widespread and strong, despite the old media's attempt to silence him in the new media.

The web-related problems at CNN were not the only obstacles Paul faced last night. CNN debate moderator, Wolf Blitzer focused most of his attention on the three candidates the network has previously focused on - Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney and John McCain. At many times during the debate, Blitzer interrupted "second tier" candidates' answers with new questions for his preferred responders. At one point, Blitzer blurted "Mayor Giuliani! Mayor Giuliani!" while speaking over a conversation between a studio guest and candidate.

There is circumstantial evidence to support the media blackout of Dr. Paul conspiracy as a lot more than "theory."

Many observers wonder why Paul, the only doctor on stage, was not given the opportunity to respond to any of the health care-related questions. Instead, Blitzer focused on the old media frontrunners who provided similarly-rehearsed responses. Similarly, Blitzer interrupted audience applause for Paul when his answers started foreshadowing a more contentious issue: U.S. support of Israel. Prior to writing for The Jerusalem Post, Blitzer worked for AIPAC (American Israel Political Action Committee) where he wrote for their newsletter, The Near East Report. Paul's stance as an isolationist has been seen as a threat to the Zionist-themed lobbying efforts AIPAC has pursued since it's inception.

As the battle between new media credibility rages against old media manipulation, Paul's Presidential hopes lie in the ability of those in both world's to take a look beyond party and person to determine "what" is right, as opposed to the more contentious "who" is right argument entrenched in todays American political landscape.

Presidential candidate Ron Paul (R-TX) will be joined by Michael Scheuer, former head of the CIA's Bin Laden Unit, to discuss flawed American foreign policy and its implications on terrorism, security and Iraq.

The press conference will be held at 9:30AM EST on Thursday, May 24 in the National Press Club Lisagor Room.

During the "First in South" GOP debate, earlier this month, Dr. Paul stated that 50 years of interventionism in the Middle East is a significant motivating tool for radical Islamists. Dr. Paul's position, though disparaged during the debate, has since received backing from numerous individuals, including others in the GOP, administration officials and - in excerpted reports - from the 9-11 Commission itself.

Rudy Giuliani, a presidential candidate and well-known former Republican mayor of New York, called Dr. Paul's position absurd. Giuliani is commonly characterized as a GOP "front-runner. During the debate, he stated that he had "never heard such an explanation."

According to a limited-circulation release, Dr. Paul and Mr. Scheuer. They are expected to explain why Rudy Giuliani is wrong on security and foreign policy and provide documentatiom about the unintended consequences of interventionism - known to many in the intelligence (and Dr. Paul as well) as blowback.

Noble Resolve 07: Four days of "simulated" nuclear terrorist scenarios in the US & Europe

[Don't forget - 7/7 London Bombings and 9/11 Attacks also happened during "terror drills" and Cheney and Rove have made repeated public threats of terrorism against America in the past couple of weeks, including the quotes by Rove in the article link in a post below]

--

From April, 23 to April 27, the elite echelon of the military are running Noble Resolve 07, a four-day marathon of “simulated” terror attacks across the US and Europe. This includes a simulated detonation of a “loose” ten-kiloton nuclear weapon Virginia harbor, smuggled in by a “foreign nation.”

This week Dick Cheney has also been warning of the “very real” threat of a nuclear attack on an American city. Could the Nobel Resolve drills be used as a screen for a false-flag attack to be blamed on Iran, Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda, or sheep-dipped Americans like Adam Gadahn?

The drills are being run by Joint Task Force Command (JTFCOM), Northern Command (NORTHCOM), J9 Joint Innovation and Experimentation Directorate, FEMA’s command bunker, the Department of Homeland Security, and Virginia police.

The US Marines are also running “Emerald Express 07” in Virginia on April 24 as part of their Urban Warrior 07 drill package.

It is important to note the “Nobel Resolve” drills are dominated by NORTHCOM, the branch of “homeland defense” based in Colorado and responsible for shutting down the United States under martial law, as well as ushering in the merger of the US, Canada, and Mexico via the SPP.

Meanwhile the J9 Directorate, formulates various terror scenarios and uses advanced computer modeling to run drills and predict human reactions; Recent articles highlight how they are using virtual environments to create and manage realistic war scenarios with millions of “people.”

Some key quotes from the article:

“He said the scenario of the experiment's first phase starts with multinational partners and goes down to individual municipalities. It begins with a threat that originates in Europe and travels toward the United States.”

“Kersh said that as the scenario progresses, other agencies and other layers of government become involved.”

"The problem eventually arrives at the commonwealth of Virginia with that threat making it into port and then blowing up. This will cause us to work the consequence management part of the problem”

“The fusion center is in a state police headquarters and it's collocated with Virginia's emergency operations center.” (ed: Mount Weather)

“coordinated with DHS, possibly to coincide with one of that department's major exercises.”

We must remember that CIA agent Philip Giraldi warned the American Conservative magazine that STRATCOM would launch a nuclear attack on Iran in the wake of a new WMD-style attack on American soil.

And the Russian media and former Russian military members continue to warn that an American and Israeli strike on Iran is imminent.

While many drills are run every month, Nobel Resolve 07, with it’s “realistic” scenarios, comes at a time of increased geopolitical tension. It is reminiscent of the drills in 2005, where a ten-kiloton nuclear weapon was “simulated” to explode in South Carolina. Some speculated that four-star Gen. Kevin Byrnes, of the Fort Meade TRADOC command, was fired due to his exposure of the drill.

We should not live in a constant state of panic and fear, or make any irresponsible predictions about Noble Resolve 07. But in the coming days, we can email this information to blogs, media outlets, friends and family. Congressmen, and others to help inoculate against any possibility that rogue “red teams” inside the drills may be activated.

One target: legislation that would allow consumers to import drugs from Canada.

While Schering's PAC last year donated $210,000, more than 25 percent over what it gave in 2001, the company's overall contributions were reduced by the soft-money ban and were less than half those of four years earlier.

BREITBART.COM - Blair pleads the case for biometric ID cards
"Having one will be compulsory but citizens will not be required to carry them at all times. Such a scheme has not existed in Britain since World War II.

They are also concerned at certain ethnic minority groups being unfairly targeted and the potential for it to be a "ready-made police-state tool" for any unscrupulous future government.

The main opposition Conservative Party and smaller Liberal Democrats are both opposed to the scheme."

--
Conservative and Liberals in Britain both oppose this. So, why is Tony Blair so adamant about it? Check ... http://www.savethemales.ca/000768.html

ABC News: Quantum Leap: Computer to 'Make Computer History': "Quantum computers could also have major uses in the security world. Since 9/11, governments and companies have gotten heavily into biometrics, building massive databases of pictures, fingerprints, and other complex measures of people they want to track."

You've got to love the phrase "... heavily into biometrics, building massive databases...". Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy eh?

How the US sent $12bn in cash to Iraq. And watched it vanish | Iraq | Guardian Unlimited
This is sick. How many schools, hospitals or libraries could this have built? And is there where all those bank/ATM fees go? Is this REALLY what they do with the money?

-- (from wikipedia) --
"The Federal Reserve Banks are nominally 'owned' by private 'member banks' (in that each member bank owns nonnegotiable shares of stock in its regional Federal Reserve Bank; see below).

In Lewis v. United States,[2], the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit stated that 'the Reserve Banks are not federal instrumentalities for purposes of the FTCA [the Federal Tort Claims Act], but are independent, privately owned and locally controlled corporations.' ...

... The member banks are generally privately owned corporations. The stocks of many of the member banks are publicly traded.

Who Watches The Watchers In Surveillance Society? - Yahoo! News
"Intelligent video?"

Yeah, right.

It's impossible for a camera to prevent crime or anything else. All cameras do is capture potential criminal activity. But, even with cameras, how many videotaped crimes STILL go unsolved? The potential for abuse is clearly higher than the risk of having no cameras at all. The video images shown on TV just create an environment of fear, which perpetuates the desire for more cameras by people who lack critical thinking skills.

Eventually we'll have so many cameras, your every move willbe caught on tape. Worse yet, there will be a law against everything. So, theoretically, everyone will be a documented criminal. Step out of line once, say the wrong thing to the wrong person and BAM! All that videotape of you breaking laws comes out, and you get locked up.

An End to Green Romanticism: Environmental Guru Lovelock Urges Expansion of Nuclear Energy - International - SPIEGEL ONLINE - News
Since it's inception, nuclear energy has always been one of the cleanest, safest sources of energy. Seems as though all the "environmentalists" from the 70's that fought so hard to prevent new nuclear plants and shut existing plants may have been doing more hard than good. Time will tell, but this is an eye-opening article and worth reading.

U.S. Set to Begin a Vast Expansion of DNA Sampling - New York Times
Another misguided powergrab by the federal government. Having someone's DNA will not prevent crime. Videocameras have never stopped crime either. All of this focus is on catching people AFTER crimes have already ruined lives. How about spending some money on crime PREVENTION?

Swiss may expand assisted suicide law - Yahoo! News
How can someone give consent when they aren't in their right mind? What's next, allowing kids to petition for assisted suicide? Certainly, if a crazy person can give consent, a ten year-old with full mental capacity should be able to give consent. This doesn't make any sense, and it's outside the DRUMS of WAR's philosophy of supporting life.

FBI turns to broad new wiretap method | Tech News on ZDNet
So, if those sworn to uphold the law break the law, haven't they then created anarchy? Why would anyone want to follow laws that law enforcement are breaking? They should really rethink this idea. Nobody wants to be the last chump following a law everybody else has discarded.

Our secret, private army at work.
"The commando team also took an unclassified U.S. computer with them as its members fled with the four soldiers and left behind an American M-4 automatic rifle, senior U.S. military officials said."

"The U.S. military in Baghdad did not respond to repeated requests for comment on reports that began emerging from Iraqi government and military officials on the abduction and a major breakdown in security at Karbala site."
--
"The Iraqi soldiers believed it to be American because of the type of vehicles, the distinctive camouflage American uniforms and the fact that they spoke English. One Iraqi official said the leader of the assault team was blond, but no other official confirmed that."

I don't see Wolf Blitzer mentioning the blond guy on CNN.

Troops died after, not in, sneak attack - Yahoo! News

Troops died after, not in, sneak attack - Yahoo! News: "The brazen assault, 50 miles south of Baghdad on Jan. 20, was conducted by nine to 12 militants posing as an American security team. They traveled in black GMC Suburban vehicles _ the type used by U.S. government convoys _ had American weapons, wore new U.S. military combat fatigues, and spoke English."

Well, this should escalate things pretty nicely... don't you think? Let's give it until ... hmm. Maybe a day. I'm sure something will happen in the media to detract from tomorrow's march in D.C. It'll probably have something to do with Iran and Pelosi's entourage.

The Politico

The Politico: "'Congress holds the power of the purse and of the president continues to advance his failed Iraq policy, we have have the responsibility to use that power to safely redeploy our troops from Iraq,' Feingold said in a statement released by his office on Thursday. 'I will soon be introducing legislation to use the power of the purse to end what is clearly one of the greatest mistakes in the history of the nation's foreign policy.'"

Finally. Somebody, rising above the noise and utilizing the law to get the system working again. It's not like cutting off funding will leave our troops stuck in Iraq without a ride home. Bush will simply have to bring them home as the funding depletes. They're trying to make it seem like cutting funding will leave our troops without guns, running naked in the streets and deserts of Baghdad. Just like when anyone travels... When you start running out of money, you go home.

DRUMS of WAR ::: Every protest needs some drums!!!

The DRUMS of WAR are probably NOT what you think.

In fact, you may even want to join the DRUMS of WAR.

Everything we do here is meant to provoke thought and dialog. Well, it's mostly to have fun and make a bunch of noise, but we certainly intend to be a catalyst for social change.

We're taking back our power. Politicians have taken too much of it and they evidently suck at managing it.

Only WE THE PEOPLE have the legitimacy to beat the DRUMS of WAR. When politicians do it, they end up wrecking everything and killing a bunch of people.

We have power over our elected officials... if only they listened to us. Well, maybe we just haven't been speaking loudly enough.

Banging on some drums should do the trick. Imagine the sound of a million drummers marching on the Capitol.

The next time you're having a protest, demonstration or rally and you really need to amp it up. Call on the mighty DRUMS of WAR.

If you can convince us your action weighs in favor of a thriving humanity, we'll rally The DRUMS of WAR to your cause.

If you want to beat the DRUMS of WAR yourself, you can join us locally, or we'll show you how to start DRUMS of WAR in your own town.

DRUMS of WAR operate on a few basic principles:

Support causes that favor a thriving humanity.

Acknowledge existing laws.

Encourage more citizens to drum.

** We regularly antagonize just about everybody because our actions are non-partisan. Politicians are not permitted to beat the DRUMS of WAR in any official capacity.

Gas Station To Offer 'Terror-Free' Oil - MoneyCool idea. A couple of questions though. What about threats to the environment? Some environmentalists consider any gas station operator a terrorist.
