FBI turns to broad new wiretap method | Tech News on ZDNet
So, if those sworn to uphold the law break the law, haven't they then created anarchy? Why would anyone want to follow laws that law enforcement are breaking? They should really rethink this idea. Nobody wants to be the last chump following a law everybody else has discarded.

U.S. missile defense maturing, latest test a success|Top News|Reuters.com
This will be just great ... until the robots that begin controlling the satellite lasers become buddies with the robots that begin controlling the nuclear launch facilities.
News from The Associated Press: " The city of Hoboken tried to wrest control of the garage from its builder, Robotic Parking Systems Inc. of Clearwater, Fla., and an ensuing court battle shut it down for two weeks, trapping some cars inside. The garage is closed until Thursday..."

It's a good thing the judge in this case hasn't been replaced by robots... yet. The machines are closing in around you. Run bioslave, run!

Republican: Scripts need reviewing | StarNewsOnline.com | Star-News | Wilmington, NC
:
Maybe that should read "Republican scripts need reviewing."

This is the creepy passage they use as a benchmark...

"... Lacks any 'serious literary, artistic, political or scientific value' and is not free speech protected by the state or federal constitutions."

Says who?

Blackwater USA :
"On the morning of January 23, 2007, five Blackwater security professionals were killed in the city of Baghdad, Iraq. The five American citizens were killed while working on behalf of the United States Government."

Our secret, private army at work.
"The commando team also took an unclassified U.S. computer with them as its members fled with the four soldiers and left behind an American M-4 automatic rifle, senior U.S. military officials said."
--
"The U.S. military in Baghdad did not respond to repeated requests for comment on reports that began emerging from Iraqi government and military officials on the abduction and a major breakdown in security at Karbala site."
--
"The Iraqi soldiers believed it to be American because of the type of vehicles, the distinctive camouflage American uniforms and the fact that they spoke English. One Iraqi official said the leader of the assault team was blond, but no other official confirmed that."

I don't see Wolf Blitzer mentioning the blond guy on CNN.

Troops died after, not in, sneak attack - Yahoo! News

Troops died after, not in, sneak attack - Yahoo! News: "The brazen assault, 50 miles south of Baghdad on Jan. 20, was conducted by nine to 12 militants posing as an American security team. They traveled in black GMC Suburban vehicles _ the type used by U.S. government convoys _ had American weapons, wore new U.S. military combat fatigues, and spoke English."

Carolina Journal Exclusive: Edwards Home County's Largest: "RALEIGH - Presidential candidate John Edwards and his family recently moved into what county tax officials say is the most valuable home in Orange County. The house, which includes a recreational building attached to the main living quarters, also is probably the largest in the county"

Do you really a 28,000 sq. ft. house. And did you have to chop down so many trees? Where is the Lorax when you need him?

Troops Authorized to Kill Iranian Operatives in Iraq - washingtonpost.com
Well, this should escalate things pretty nicely... don't you think? Let's give it until ... hmm. Maybe a day. I'm sure something will happen in the media to detract from tomorrow's march in D.C. It'll probably have something to do with Iran and Pelosi's entourage.

The Politico

The Politico: "'Congress holds the power of the purse and of the president continues to advance his failed Iraq policy, we have have the responsibility to use that power to safely redeploy our troops from Iraq,' Feingold said in a statement released by his office on Thursday. 'I will soon be introducing legislation to use the power of the purse to end what is clearly one of the greatest mistakes in the history of the nation's foreign policy.'"

Finally. Somebody, rising above the noise and utilizing the law to get the system working again. It's not like cutting off funding will leave our troops stuck in Iraq without a ride home. Bush will simply have to bring them home as the funding depletes. They're trying to make it seem like cutting funding will leave our troops without guns, running naked in the streets and deserts of Baghdad. Just like when anyone travels... When you start running out of money, you go home.

DRUMS of WAR ::: Every protest needs some drums!!!

The DRUMS of WAR are probably NOT what you think.

In fact, you may even want to join the DRUMS of WAR.

Everything we do here is meant to provoke thought and dialog. Well, it's mostly to have fun and make a bunch of noise, but we certainly intend to be a catalyst for social change.

We're taking back our power. Politicians have taken too much of it and they evidently suck at managing it.

Only WE THE PEOPLE have the legitimacy to beat the DRUMS of WAR. When politicians do it, they end up wrecking everything and killing a bunch of people.

We have power over our elected officials... if only they listened to us. Well, maybe we just haven't been speaking loudly enough.

Banging on some drums should do the trick. Imagine the sound of a million drummers marching on the Capitol.

The next time you're having a protest, demonstration or rally and you really need to amp it up. Call on the mighty DRUMS of WAR.

If you can convince us your action weighs in favor of a thriving humanity, we'll rally The DRUMS of WAR to your cause.

If you want to beat the DRUMS of WAR yourself, you can join us locally, or we'll show you how to start DRUMS of WAR in your own town.

DRUMS of WAR operate on a few basic principles:

Support causes that favor a thriving humanity.

Acknowledge existing laws.

Encourage more citizens to drum.

** We regularly antagonize just about everybody because our actions are non-partisan. Politicians are not permitted to beat the DRUMS of WAR in any official capacity.

Gas Station To Offer 'Terror-Free' Oil - Money

Gas Station To Offer 'Terror-Free' Oil - MoneyCool idea. A couple of questions though. What about threats to the environment? Some environmentalists consider any gas station operator a terrorist. What activities constitute terrorism? Would you buy fuel from American oil producers? What about from American oil producers working in Iraq?
