Oak Grove, OR - Peace Rally/War Protest
Northwest: June 21st, 2008
Peace Vigil in Oak Grove 1st and 3rd Saturdays 12 pm to 1 pm
Even the people in strip mall territory are standing up for PEACE!
Come stand up with us from 12 noon to 1 pm on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, at the busy corner of McLoughlin and Oak Grove Blvds, by the Fred Meyer store, in Oak Grove Oregon. Oak Grove is the small residential community just south of Milwaukie, OR, which is a few miles south of Portland city limits, on the east side of the Willamette river.
Bring your own sign if you have one; if not some extras may be available. Some people bring flowers as well -- if you have 'em, bring 'em! They attract a lot of attention from passersby in cars and on foot.
The only reason the US withdrew from Viet Nam was because of negative public opinion. Come demonstrate your feelings about the war in Iraq and make the killing stop! IF NOT NOW, WHEN?
